This is by far the most anticipated star studded film after The New Year’s Eve and this one looks like a good one!
Director Daniel Lee had to fight his name to the title and this wasn’t to shun the entire super gifted cast but he had to make history and he will. His film is set for release on Friday, the same week as the Oscar winning
film, ‘The Help’ and both movies are in line for a persuasive story-telling session.
Daniel Lee’s The Butler dramatizes an inspiring true tale of the 20 century American civil rights movement surrounded with ‘ordinary individuals with extraordinary perspective’. Forest Whitaker plays Cecil Gaines a Southern black man who worked as a White House butler under seven presidents (form Eisenhower to Reagan) but his journey to that envious position is what entangles the screenplay. His struggling marriage to Gloria (Oprah Winfrey) and precised responsibility over his two contrast sons (David Oyelowo and Elijah Kelly) either strengthens his role as a devoted family man or a secretive White House staff.

Billionaire Oprah Winfrey makes a huge film come-back after the 1998 ‘Beloved’ and perhaps she will rally the masses on this one like she did for the historic Obama campaign. The Butler is massive with a 37 man list of producers and dapper racial mix of cast: Forest Whitaker, Oprah Winfrey, Mariah Carey, John Cusack, Jane Fonda, Cuba Gooding Jr., Terrence Howard, Lenny Kravitz, James Marsden, David Oyelowo, Alex Pettyfer, Vanessa Redgrave, Alan Rickman, Liev Schreiber, Robin Williams, Yaya Alafia, Minka Kelly.
