Its not the eagle landing this time around, it’s a modern day, revolutionary piece of technology simply known as the iPhone. Reports swirling around the tech and business world is that the highly anticipated next
generation iPhone will be released come September 10, that’s less than a month away!
The phone which is tentatively called the iPhone 5S will reportedly feature a wide screen, faster processor and higher resolution camera. Its is also believed that the new device will feature a fingerprint sensor and also come in an additional gold colour as opposed to the standard black and white Apple is known for.
In the last couple of months, the rumour mill has been agog with the possible options Apple will offer consumers with its forthcoming product release. Also expected to be launched on the September 10 kick-off date are low cost phones for the midrange market which would allegedly be called the iphone 5C. They are expected to come in a range of colours and also have a plastic back cover developed from polycarbonate and glass fiber. Asides the iphones, Apple is also expected to launch newly designed ipads and the ipad mini retina all of which would run on the previously release iOS7.With the release of these products, Apple is expected to regain the smartphone market which it has been losing lately to other competitors most notably long-standing rivals, Samsung.
Meanwhile in a related development, Samsung has revealed that it will be launching the Galaxy Gear, a smart watch running on Android. The South Korean company will also be unveiling the Samsung Note III, the third in its giant smartphone line. The device reportedly has a 5.68 inch screen. The launch will come less than a week before the tentative release date of the Apple products which again brings to the fore, the bottleneck competition between the two tech giants.
With the range of products Samsung has offered across the various markets ranging from the high-end to mid-range in 2013 and with the absence of any major innovation from Apple since the launch of the iphone 5 last year, it remains to be seen whether the introduction of the new iphone will give Apple the much needed surge.
