American rapper Wale Victor Folarin, better known by his stage name Wale, will gift fans with his new mixtape, Folarin, today.
“I made #folarin  for fans,”  Wale wrote on his Twitter handle.
“It’s inspired by all my tapes and albums … This is a FAN inspired project.. The album will be for me.”
Wale was born to Nigerian parents of the Yoruba tribe. He maintains his name and heritage, and so decided to name his mixtape after his last name, Folarin. The mixtape will be the MMG rapper’s only mixtape of 2012. His last tape was 2011′s The Eleven One Eleven Theory. The street tape is making up for some time between his two official studio releases 2011′s Ambition and his upcoming I Ain’t Perfect LP, due in 2013.
”Folarin  is for the “dig dug” fans to “100 miles ” fans,” promised Wale. “No throw away songs that ‘ain’t make the album’ this joint was designed for you.” Folarin will drop today at 2PM via Datpiff.
