Producers of one of Africa’s biggest reality TV shows Big Brother Africa have announced the eight edition of the show will kick off in May!
Just like last year, entry is open to 14 countries round the continent. This year however, Liberia is being
replaced by Ethiopia. The replacement according to producers is to rotate certain countries into and out of the format.
As a result of the change, participating countries this year are: Angola, Botswana, Ethiopia, Ghana, Kenya, Malawi, Namibia, Nigeria, Sierra Leone, South Africa, Tanzania, Uganda, Zambia and Zimbabwe.
Online entries are open to persons over the age of 21, who are citizens of one of the participating countries and who either have a valid passport or will be able to obtain one by the end of March. As usual, producers are looking for ‘hippy’ guys and girls who speak fluent English and are ‘open-minded, bold and adventurous’.
As usual, there will be a few twists and surprises but producers aren’t letting the cat out of the bag for now.
This year the winner will walk away with $300,000.
Submissions close on Valentine’s Day, February 14, 2013.
