The Best Detail of Beyonce's New Photo of Blue Ivy: Did You Miss It?
Okay, so the adorableness factor of Beyonce's recent mama-baby snuggle shot with 11-month-old Blue Ivy is, not surprisingly, off the charts. There's the tender kiss on the head, for starters, and then the crazy-cute color-coordinated (blue, of course) outfits.
But knowing moms everywhere will see this candid photo, which the singer shared on Tumblr, will laugh about something else: the sight of Beyonce's chunky earring in her toddler's chubby little fist.
That's because it's a universal truth of motherhood that if you wear shiny, dangly jewelry, your tot will immediately grab it and try to stick it in her mouth. It doesn't matter how many cute organic wooden teething toys or Sophie the Giraffes or sets of plastic keys you give your baby; what mama's wearing is always more interesting.
That obviously hasn't stopped Beyonce from accessorizing (unlike many moms -- myself included -- who stopped wearing dangly earrings after their babe's first painful yank). But we see she's also learned the savvy-mama trick of taking off the jewelry before accommodating grabby little hands.
