Former FCT Minister, Mallam Nasir El Rufai faces arrest over publications of classified documents in his new book “Accidental Public Servant”, and was accused of breaching the Official Secrets Act. The book
which was launched yesterday in Abuja, is now selling Nation wide.

The book gives a detailed analysis of El Rufai’s almost ten years of service in the government.

The Official Secrets Acts, which only ensures that classified documents are de-classified after ten years explains that:

a person who transmits any classified matter to a person to whom he is not authorised on behalf of the government to transmit it ;
or a person who obtains, reproduce or retains any classified matter which he is not authorised on behalf of the government to obtain, reproduce or retain, as the case maybe , is guilty of an offence
According to the source, the book is under investigation by the government as it relates a massive reproduction of classified documents and may invoke necessary sections of the law where the breaches are occurred.

This government can make noise! Its just another time wasting.
